FAQs

What is Teletherapy (Virtual Therapy)? How does Teletherapy (Virtual Therapy) work?
Due to Covid 19, all sessions are currently conducted online via Tele-Therapy (Virtual Therapy)
All consents for services are also electronically signed and housed within my HIPAA compliant electronic health record.

Teletherapy is an online video therapy service for clients within the State of California; who are unable to come into the office for face-to-face sessions. If you need to check-in before your next appointment, if you don’t want to worry about rushing in traffic to get to your appointment, or struggle with a busy schedule and it’s difficult to make time for a session. I offer online sessions to bridge the gap in services.

We use a secure platform that is HIPAA compliant to help protect your privacy. We conduct our sessions online, as if we were in an in-person office environment. It is a very easy and reliable system. Within 24 hours of our scheduled appointment, you will receive a reminder about our session time. You will also receive a secure link directing you to the video-secure platform to begin our session during our appointment time.

What will we do in therapy?

Improve your quality of life. I want to help you design a life that you love. I will support you in creating treatment goals, and together develop a treatment plan. Although, treatment varies between each client, it is common for me to use a holistic and in-depth approach, that is meant to help you decrease the unwanted symptoms you are experiencing; and also encourage you to grow in your self-understanding, authenticity, and relationships. I will hold space for you to speak freely about anything that come to mind in session, including: current issues, fears, desires, and fantasies. We may explore your past experiences in order to identify recurring themes and patterns, as well as to free you from the bonds of those experiences; so that you may live your life more freely here in the present. I may help you to gain insight into the relational defenses you have built up, in order to enhance your capacity to find loving and balanced relationships.

How long does each therapy session take?

The length of each session depends on the service being provided; but in general, each session is about 50 minutes.
